Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is an illness in which the soft tissues at the back of the throat completely close off the airway so that air cannot flow into the lungs. Some common symptoms are loud snoring, periodic stoppages in breathing, significant daytime sleepiness and difficulty concentrating. If you have sleep apnea and are not happy with your CPAP, we may have a simple, comfortable solution for you!

Oral appliances are acrylic devices that fit over the upper and lower teeth or tongue (similar to a retainer or mouth guard). This slightly advances the lower jaw or tongue, opening th airway and improving breathing, effectively treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Consult your physician or a sleep medicine physician for a proper diagnosis prior to making a treatment decision.
